Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 18 years or older, of any gender
- People who have tested negative for pregnancy and are using effective contraception
- People who have been diagnosed with mild or moderate ulcerative colitis (a type of inflammatory bowel condition), confirmed by a camera examination of the bowel (endoscopy)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are currently breastfeeding
- People who have significant problems with their liver or kidney function

- People who have colorectal cancer (cancer of the large bowel or rectum)

- People who are currently using steroid medications, either taken by mouth/injection or applied directly to the rectum
