Group 1 – Newly diagnosed prostate cancer (before treatment):
- You have been diagnosed with prostate cancer confirmed by a tissue sample (biopsy)
- Your cancer has been classified as medium or high risk based on specific scoring systems used by doctors (Gleason score, cancer stage, or PSA blood test levels)
- Your kidney function is within an acceptable range to safely receive the contrast dye used in the scan (confirm with trial site)
- You are 18 years of age or older
- You have already had a detailed MRI scan of your prostate/pelvis within the last 30 days

Group 2 – Prostate cancer that has come back after treatment:
- You previously had prostate cancer confirmed by biopsy and have already completed a main treatment (surgery or radiotherapy)
- If you had surgery to remove the prostate: your PSA blood test has risen to a level that suggests the cancer may have returned, based on specific measurements over time (confirm exact values with trial site)
- If you had radiotherapy: your PSA blood test has risen by 2 ng/ml above its lowest recorded level after treatment
- You are 18 years of age or older
- You are willing to sign a consent form to take part in the study
Who may not be able to join:
- You have metal implants, pacemakers, stimulators, or prostheses inside your body that make an MRI scan unsafe
- You experience claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces)
- Your body size is too large to fit inside the scanning machine (confirm with trial site)
- You have a known allergy or medical reason (such as kidney failure) that prevents you from receiving the special radioactive tracer or dye used in the scan
