Who might be able to join this trial:
For patients with anorexia:
- You are 18 years old or older
- You have been diagnosed with anorexia nervosa based on standard diagnostic tools (DSM-5 and a structured interview called CIDI)
- Your Body Mass Index (BMI) is below 15, which is a measure of body weight relative to height
- You are being hospitalised for nutritional rehabilitation (a programme to help restore healthy eating and weight)
- You are covered by health insurance
- You are willing and able to sign a consent form agreeing to take part
For healthy volunteers:
- You are 18 years old or older
- Your BMI is between 18.5 and 25, considered a healthy weight range
- You are covered by health insurance
- You are willing and able to sign a consent form agreeing to take part
Who may not be able to join:
For patients with anorexia:
- You do not fully meet the diagnostic criteria for anorexia nervosa based on the standard tools used in this trial
- You have taken antibiotics in the last 2 months, or laxatives in the last 3 weeks before hospitalisation
- You have a condition that could affect your gut bacteria, such as Crohn's disease, diabetes, or another chronic inflammatory condition
- You are under legal guardianship
- You are covered by the French AME scheme (a specific type of state medical aid in France)
For healthy volunteers:
- You have any condition that could affect your gut bacteria (confirm with trial site)
- You have had a significant recent change in your body weight
- You have taken antibiotics in the last 2 months, or laxatives in the last 3 weeks
- You are under legal guardianship
- You are covered by the French AME scheme
