Who may not be able to join:

  • You have previously had radiotherapy or chemotherapy to treat cancer
  • You currently have an active infection or inflammation, such as a fever or raised levels of a marker called CRP in your blood
  • You have any condition — such as a fear of enclosed spaces (claustrophobia) — that would make it difficult for you to lie still for the full length of the scan
  • You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
