Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who have been diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis using a specific set of recognised medical criteria (called CASPAR criteria)
• People whose psoriatic arthritis is currently active, meaning at least one joint is visibly swollen
• People whose psoriatic arthritis disease activity score (called cDAPSA) is 10 or above — note that people without psoriasis must have a score above 14 (confirm with trial site)
• People who are currently using, or have previously used, one TNF-blocking medication (called a TNF inhibitor) and either never responded to it or stopped responding over time, and who are planning to switch to a new biologic treatment
• People taking certain other arthritis medications (such as methotrexate, leflunomide, hydroxychloroquine, sulfasalazine, or apremilast) who have been on a stable dose for at least 4 weeks before the study starts and are able to stay on that same dose throughout the study (up to two of these medications is allowed)
• People taking anti-inflammatory tablets (NSAIDs), low-dose steroids (less than 10 mg daily), or topical skin treatments for psoriasis, who have been on a stable dose for at least 4 weeks before the study starts and are able to stay on that same dose throughout the study
• People aged between 18 and 80 years old

Who may not be able to join:

• People who have previously been treated with golimumab or with any biologic medication that works differently from TNF inhibitors — such as IL-12/23 inhibitors, JAK inhibitors, IL-17 inhibitors, or IL-23 inhibitors (prior use of a TYK2 inhibitor is acceptable, but that medication cannot be used during the study)
• People who previously had a serious side effect or medical reaction to a TNF inhibitor that would prevent them from safely taking another one — such as a drug-triggered lupus-like illness, a serious allergic reaction, a serious infection, heart failure symptoms, or nerve/brain inflammation
• People currently taking moderate to high doses of steroids (more than 10 mg per day)
• People whose psoriatic arthritis is already at a low disease activity level at the start of the study, as assessed using specific scoring criteria (confirm exact thresholds with trial site)
• People who are currently pregnant or actively trying to become pregnant
