Who might be able to join this trial:
- People of any gender
- Adults (18 years and older)
- People who have been assessed by a doctor as medically suitable for a partial hip replacement (hemiarthroplasty) using Corin hip devices, for conditions such as: hip joint wear and tear (osteoarthritis), bone tissue death due to loss of blood supply (avascular necrosis), certain hip fractures (including femoral neck and trochanteric fractures), or a previous partial hip replacement that has failed — in all cases where the socket part of the hip joint does not need to be replaced
- People who are willing to attend all follow-up visits required by the study
- People who have signed the study's consent form (or whose nominated trusted person has signed it on their behalf if they are unable to do so themselves), as approved by the relevant ethics committee
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have an active infection, blood poisoning (sepsis), or bone infection (osteomyelitis)
- People whose bone structure is not strong or suitable enough to properly hold the implant in place
- People with significant bone loss or bone deterioration
- People with medical conditions that affect how their body forms or maintains bone
- People who are under legal guardianship
- People who are under a form of court-ordered legal protection (confirm with trial site)
- People who, in the opinion of the research team, would be unable to follow the study's procedures — for example, due to certain mental health conditions, or alcohol or substance use issues
