- Women who are pregnant (confirmed by a blood or urine test) or currently breastfeeding
- People in poor general health, based on standard health scoring scales used by doctors
- People with serious existing health conditions, including: unstable chest pain, heart failure, or a heart attack requiring hospitalisation in the past 6 months; an active bacterial or widespread fungal infection; a flare-up of chronic lung disease or other breathing problems requiring hospitalisation; a weakened immune system; or a connective tissue disease such as active scleroderma or lupus that may make radiation therapy unsafe
- People who are unable to understand the purpose of the treatment, or who are unwilling or unable to sign a consent form
