Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are a woman who has gone through menopause and has been diagnosed with breast cancer that is driven by estrogen (called ER+ breast cancer).
- Your cancer has either spread to other parts of the body or has come back in a nearby area, and it cannot be treated with the goal of a cure.
- You have already received at least one hormone-based treatment (such as tamoxifen, aromatase inhibitors, or fulvestrant) for your advanced or spread cancer.
Who may not be able to join:
- You are currently receiving other cancer treatments during the main treatment phase of the study, with two exceptions: a drug called trastuzumab may be allowed if you have a history of HER2+ breast cancer, and bone-strengthening medications (such as bisphosphonates or denosumab) are also permitted.
- You have taken part in another experimental cancer treatment study within the last 3 weeks.
- You have a known cancer spread to the brain or spinal cord, unless it has been stable for at least 3 months.
- You have a history of a serious blood clot in a deep vein (such as in the leg).
- You have a history of a blood clot in the lungs.
- You have had a stroke in the past.
- You have had a heart attack in the past.
- You have had heart failure in the past.
- You have had a previous different cancer that was not treated with the aim of a cure, or where the chance of it coming back is estimated at 30% or higher.
