Who might be able to join this trial:

  • Adults aged 18 or older who have vision in both eyes
  • People who are able to give their informed consent to participate
  • People who are either healthy volunteers, have been referred for a glaucoma assessment, or have been diagnosed with moderate to severe glaucoma in at least one eye

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who have a significant clouding or scarring of the eye, such as a visually significant cataract or corneal scar
  • People who have had eye surgery in the past, other than straightforward cataract removal, certain laser eye pressure treatments (ALT or SLT), or a YAG capsulotomy procedure
  • People who have had a prior eye disease other than glaucoma
  • People who have naturally very narrow drainage angles in the eye, or who have previously had a bad reaction to the eye drops Tropicamide or the dye fluorescein
  • People with a glasses or contact lens prescription stronger than 15 diopters (a measure of how much correction the eye needs)
  • People who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
  • People who have diabetes
