Who might be able to join this trial:
- Children aged 4 to 12 years old who have been newly diagnosed with bronchial asthma or are experiencing a recurring episode of it
- Children whose diagnosis meets the official guidelines set out in the 2016 Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Prevention of Bronchial Asthma in Children

- Children who have abnormal development of the airways or lung tissue that was present from birth
- Children who have used immune-suppressing medications or steroid medications (such as corticosteroids) within the four weeks before joining the trial
- Children who have a condition affecting the hormone (endocrine) system or the immune system, other than the condition being studied
- Children whose medical records or test results are incomplete
