Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are able and willing to give their consent to take part in the trial.
- People who have been diagnosed with COPD and have been taking azithromycin (an antibiotic) regularly for at least 3 months to help prevent COPD flare-ups.
- People who have a self-reported smoking history of at least 10 pack years (a measure of how much a person has smoked over their lifetime).
- People who are 40 years of age or older.
- People whose COPD has been stable, meaning no flare-ups in the last 6 weeks.
Who may not be able to join:

- People who have been prescribed azithromycin for a condition other than COPD.
- People who are currently taking part in another clinical trial testing an investigational (unapproved) medicine for COPD.
