Who might be able to join this trial:

• Adults aged 18 or older
• People diagnosed with colorectal cancer or other gastrointestinal cancers (including cancers of the stomach, oesophagus, appendix, small bowel, or ampulla) that have spread or cannot be surgically removed

• People who have previously received chemotherapy drugs called oxaliplatin or fluoropyrimidine, unless those drugs were used only alongside radiation therapy

• People whose cancer has a specific genetic feature known as mismatch repair deficiency or microsatellite instability-high (MSI-H)
• People who have a known deficiency of an enzyme called DPD (dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase), based on clinically recommended testing
• People who have a second cancer that is likely to need systemic treatment during the six-month study period, based on the enrolling doctor's judgement
• People whose blood test results fall outside acceptable ranges for white blood cells, platelets, red blood cells, kidney function, or liver function (confirm with trial site for specific values)
• People who are unable to provide informed consent
• People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
• People who are incarcerated, experiencing homelessness, or have an active substance use disorder
