Who might be able to join this trial:

• You have been diagnosed with bladder cancer (confirmed by a lab test) and are scheduled to have your bladder surgically removed
• Unusual or rare types of bladder cancer are also allowed
• Having received treatment (such as chemotherapy) before surgery is allowed
• You are over 18 years old
• You are able to understand the study information and are willing to sign a consent form

Who may not be able to join:

• You are not considered a suitable candidate for bladder removal surgery
• You have moderate to severe problems with erections, based on a score below 17 on a standard questionnaire (confirm with trial site)
• Your bladder cancer has spread to the bladder neck or the prostate area, including the tube that runs through the prostate
• You have previously had radiation treatment to your pelvic area
• You have been diagnosed with prostate cancer
• You have an abnormal prostate exam, a raised PSA blood test result (above 3), or a suspicious area seen on a prostate MRI scan — in these cases, a prostate biopsy would be needed to check for prostate cancer before joining
• You have a family history that suggests a higher genetic risk of prostate cancer, for example: a close relative with breast cancer before age 50, ovarian cancer, pancreatic cancer, male breast cancer, certain bowel or womb cancers before age 50, or advanced prostate cancer at any age; or a father or brother diagnosed with prostate cancer before age 60; or two or more close relatives with breast or prostate cancer at any age; or three or more close relatives with cancers linked to Lynch syndrome (confirm with trial site)
• You have been diagnosed with Lynch syndrome (an inherited condition that increases cancer risk)
