Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who show no signs of malnutrition or nutritional risk (those with a PG-SGA nutritional score of A)
  • People with severely reduced bowel function, or who cannot tolerate feeding through the digestive system
  • People experiencing severe vomiting, gastrointestinal bleeding, or a blocked bowel
  • People whose malnutrition is so severe that they would not be able to tolerate radiation or chemotherapy
  • People whose oesophageal tumour or nearby lymph nodes have previously been treated with radiotherapy, chemotherapy, or targeted therapy
  • People who have had another cancer within the past 5 years (with exceptions for certain fully treated early-stage cancers — confirm with trial site)
  • People who have participated in another drug trial within the past month
  • People with a history of severe allergic reactions or unusual sensitivities to substances
  • People with a history of severe lung or heart disease
  • People with serious ongoing health conditions such as uncontrolled high blood pressure or heart failure
  • People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • People who are currently participating in, or planning to join, another clinical trial
  • People who are unwilling or unable to sign the informed consent form
