Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are male or female and older than 18 years of age
  • You had a stroke (either a bleed in the brain or a blockage) more than 3 months ago, confirmed by a brain scan (CT or MRI)
  • You experience severe fatigue, shown by an average score of more than 4 on a fatigue rating scale
  • You are willing to keep your current medications the same throughout the study
  • You have a caregiver, family member, or friend who can be present with you during the treatment sessions

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have any metal in your head (not including dental work) or have an implanted device such as a pacemaker or deep brain stimulator
  • You have a history of seizures or epilepsy
  • You have a history of moderate to severe traumatic brain injury
  • You have moderate to severe depression or anxiety, based on scores from standard questionnaires (PHQ-9 or GAD-7)
  • You have significant memory or thinking difficulties, based on a standard cognitive screening test (MoCA) (confirm with trial site)
  • You have a skin rash, infection, or wound on your forehead area where the treatment would be applied
  • You are unable to give your own informed consent to participate
  • You have other significant neurological, medical, or mental health conditions that the study doctor believes could affect the results
