Who might be able to join this trial:

- The child's emergency triage score falls between 2 and 5 on the Emergency Severity Index scale (scores of 1 indicate the most critical cases).
Who may not be able to join:
- Neither the parent/caregiver nor the child is able to speak and understand English. (Note: low reading ability or low health literacy is not an exclusion, as surveys will be delivered verbally and materials are designed for low-literacy audiences.)
- There is no access to a working phone — at home or nearby — for follow-up contact. (Note: if a video-visit-capable device is not available at home, the trial site may be able to provide one.)
- The child has another significant medical condition — such as cystic fibrosis, a congenital heart condition, or another chronic lung disease — that could affect the measurement of asthma-related outcomes.
- The child is in foster care or another situation where a legal guardian is not available to provide consent.
