Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 18 years old or older
- You are currently a patient receiving inpatient rehabilitation at St. John's Rehab
- You had a stroke within the past two months before joining the study
- You have been identified as being at possible risk for depression and/or anxiety based on screening questionnaires used in the study
- You are able to follow and participate in the study requirements
Who may not be able to join:
- You are younger than 18 years old
- You have a significant mental health or neurological condition (not including depression or anxiety you had before your stroke) (confirm with trial site)
- You are unable to complete the measurement tools or questionnaires used in the study
- You have started a new antidepressant medication, or had a change in your antidepressant medication, within the past 6 months
- You are unable to give your own informed consent to take part in the study
Additional notes:
- For qualitative interviews (one-on-one conversations as part of the study), stroke survivors who had their stroke within the past year may be eligible
- For focus groups, staff at St. John's Rehab who regularly work with stroke patients — including doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals — may also be able to participate
