Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are able to provide written consent and agree to the release of their personal health information
- People who are 40 years of age or older at the time of joining
- People who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer and are either currently receiving hormone therapy (ADT) or are planning to start hormone therapy for more than 12 months
- People who are currently on, or planned to start, hormone therapy combined with certain additional cancer medications (such as abiraterone, enzalutamide, apalutamide, or darolutamide)
- People who have at least one risk factor for heart and blood vessel disease, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, or tobacco use
- People who do not currently have any heart-related symptoms
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are currently receiving certain chemotherapy treatments (such as docetaxel, cabazitaxel, or mitoxantrone) at the time of signing consent
- People who have an implanted heart device, such as a pacemaker or a defibrillator (ICD)
- People with a history of coronary stents, blocked heart arteries, heart attack, heart bypass surgery, or irregular heart rhythm (atrial fibrillation)
- People whose kidneys are not filtering blood well enough (based on a specific kidney function calculation — confirm with trial site)
- People who have an allergy to iodinated contrast dye (a substance used in certain medical scans)
- People who have a medical reason they cannot take certain medications used to control heart rate during a heart scan (this applies only to those assigned to the heart scan group — confirm with trial site)
- People who take sildenafil or tadalafil for blood vessel widening, a lung condition called pulmonary hypertension, or an enlarged prostate — however, people taking these medications specifically for erectile dysfunction may still be eligible (confirm with trial site)
