Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are 18 years of age or older
- People who have previously been diagnosed with breast cancer
- People who have been clinically diagnosed with long-term breast cancer-related arm swelling (lymphedema) that has lasted more than 3 months and is classified as Stage 1 or higher according to international staging guidelines
- People who have completed at least 3 months of a standard non-surgical swelling management program (known as Complex Physical Decongestion Therapy)
- People who are able to complete quality-of-life questionnaires
- People who are willing to have surgery
- People who have provided written informed consent to participate
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose treating surgeon determines that lymphatic surgery is not appropriate for them
- People whose swelling is due to a condition present from birth (congenital lymphedema) or is caused by something other than breast cancer treatment
- People who have already had surgery on the affected arm or side to treat their breast cancer-related swelling
