AI generated eligibility summary. Written by an AI model from the official source data and checked on a sample basis. It can contain mistakes, so confirm anything important against the original source. How we use AI

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who have had a brain injury, stroke, or spinal cord injury, and whose overall medical condition has become stable.
  • People who have had an ultrasound scan of their blood vessels that shows no blood clots in the deep veins (a condition called deep vein thrombosis).
  • People who have had a specific type of bone scan (using a substance called Tc99) that shows abnormal bone growth, taken around the time symptoms of this bone condition first appeared.
  • People in whom abnormal bone growth has been confirmed by scan on the hip or knee joint, and who have had a CT scan to show how much of the joint is affected.

Who may not be able to join:

  • People with serious, life-threatening health conditions that would make it unsafe or impractical to use a machine that gently and slowly moves a joint (called a Continuous Passive Motion device).
  • People whose abnormal bone growth is located somewhere other than the hip or knee joint.
  • People who also have bone fractures elsewhere in the body, as this could interfere with a specific bone-related blood test result used in the trial.
  • People who do not respond to painful stimuli (confirm with trial site).
