Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with Long COVID
  • You previously tested positive for COVID-19
  • You have been experiencing symptoms for more than 12 weeks after having COVID
  • You have noticed problems with thinking, memory, or mental clarity (sometimes called "brain fog")
  • You have been diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) at the Calgary Autonomic Investigation and Management Clinic (confirm with trial site)
  • You are a healthy person without POTS or "brain fog" (the trial also includes healthy participants for comparison)
  • You are between 18 and 60 years old
  • You are male or female
  • You are able to understand and sign a consent form agreeing to take part

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have POTS caused by a clear, known reason such as dehydration or being on bed rest for a long time
  • You are taking medication(s) that cannot safely be paused and that might affect the test results
  • There are other reasons, in the opinion of the research team, that would make it difficult for you to complete the study, such as an unpredictable schedule
  • You are not able to understand or sign a consent form agreeing to take part
