Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with a specific type of oesophageal (food pipe) cancer called squamous cell carcinoma, confirmed through laboratory testing of a tissue sample.
- People whose cancer cannot be removed by surgery and has either spread to other parts of the body, come back after previous treatment, or is too advanced to treat.

- People who have at least one tumour that can be clearly measured on a CT or MRI scan, with that scan taken within 28 days before joining the trial.
- People whose liver, kidneys, and bone marrow are functioning at an adequate level.
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have cancer that has spread to the brain or spinal cord and is causing symptoms or needs treatment.
- People who have an active autoimmune disease (a condition where the immune system attacks the body's own tissues).
- People who have a serious uncontrolled medical condition or an active infection.
- People who have a known history of HIV or AIDS.
- People who have tested positive for hepatitis B or C, showing an active or ongoing infection.
- People who have previously been treated with certain immune-based therapies that target specific pathways involved in immune system regulation (confirm with trial site for the full list of relevant medications).
