For unpaid caregivers:

  • You are an unpaid primary caregiver for someone with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia condition

  • You can speak, read, and write in English

For unpaid caregivers:

  • You have a current or past diagnosis of certain psychiatric conditions, such as psychotic or personality disorders (mood, anxiety, or past substance-related disorders are still acceptable)
  • You are currently receiving therapy specifically aimed at reducing caregiver stress or burden, or that uses a technique called cognitive reappraisal as a main focus
  • You have significant difficulties with vision, hearing, or thinking that would make it hard to complete the study tasks
  • You have previously taken part in a study from this research team that used the same or a very similar design

For the person receiving care:

  • Either you or your caregiver does not want you to participate
  • You have significant difficulties with vision, hearing, or understanding that would prevent you from completing questionnaires, even with your caregiver's help
  • You have previously taken part in a study from this research team that used the same or a very similar design
