Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are 18 years of age or older
- People whose general health and ability to carry out daily activities meets a certain minimum level, based on a standard medical scale (confirm with trial site)

- People who have cancer that has spread to the brain, provided it has been treated with radiation therapy and has been stable for two months or more
- People who currently have hepatitis B, provided they have been receiving antiviral treatment for it for more than eight weeks
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have previously been treated with Selinexor or any other drug in the same class (XPO1 inhibitors)
- People who have another serious or uncontrolled medical condition at the same time, such as uncontrolled high blood pressure, uncontrolled diabetes, or an active widespread infection
- People who have an active, uncontrolled infection (though people on preventative antibiotics or with an infection that was under control within the week before the trial starts may still be considered)
- People who are known to have had a severe reaction, intolerance, or a medical reason not to receive platinum-based or taxane-based chemotherapy drugs
- People who have an unstable or poorly controlled heart condition
- People who have had a heart attack within the three months before joining the trial
- People who have cancer that has spread to the brain and has not yet been treated
- People who have had prior chemotherapy or radiation therapy (confirm with trial site, as this criterion may interact with other eligibility requirements)
- People who have a blood clot in a deep vein (DVT) caused by the spread of their cancer that requires ongoing blood-thinning medication
