Who might be able to join this trial:
For Groups A–D (ovarian cancer patients):
- People who have a suspected diagnosis of epithelial ovarian cancer (a type of ovarian cancer), with confirmation through tissue testing required later
- People who are planned to have surgery to treat epithelial ovarian cancer or ovarian cancer that has come back after previous treatment
- People aged 18 or older
- People whose general health and ability to carry out daily activities meets a certain minimum level, known as ECOG Performance Status 2 or below (confirm with trial site for exact details)
- People who have given written consent to take part
For Group E (comparison group):
- People who are scheduled to have surgery to remove an ovary or fallopian tube for a non-cancerous gynaecological condition

- People who have given written consent to take part
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have another active cancer at the same time, which could affect the trial's results
- People who have an ongoing autoimmune disease (where the immune system attacks the body) that requires treatment, or who have a condition that weakens the immune system
- People who are currently taking steroids or other medications that suppress the immune system on an ongoing basis at the time of joining the trial
