Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are a male or non-pregnant female between the ages of 45 and 85
- You are willing and able to agree to take part in the study after being told what it involves
- You have been diagnosed with mild memory or thinking problems that are believed to be caused by early Alzheimer's disease
- If you are already taking certain memory medications (such as donepezil, rivastigmine, galantamine, or memantine), you have been on the same dose for at least 45 days
- You are able to describe what you feel during the brain treatment procedure used in this study
Who may not be able to join:
- You cannot have an MRI scan, for example because you have a pacemaker, metal implants, aneurysm clips, cochlear implants, shrapnel, permanent makeup, or small metal fragments in your eyes — or if you feel very uncomfortable in small, enclosed spaces
- More than 30% of the area of your skull along the treatment path is affected by scars, skin conditions (such as eczema), thinning of the scalp, or you have any implanted devices in your skull or brain
- You have a history of seizures or a seizure disorder
- You have a serious ongoing lung condition, such as severe emphysema or pulmonary vasculitis, that significantly affects your lungs (confirm with trial site)
- You do not speak English
- You are pregnant or planning to become pregnant
