  • You have been diagnosed by an eye doctor with moderate to severe glaucoma affecting both eyes (either open-angle glaucoma, including normal tension glaucoma, or angle-closure glaucoma), confirmed by specific vision field and eye scan tests
  • Your vision and any vision loss have been stable for at least 3 months
  • You can still see reasonably well with glasses or contact lenses (roughly able to read a standard eye chart at a moderate distance)
  • You scored 22 or above on a standard memory and thinking assessment called the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (Hong Kong version), showing your thinking and memory are intact

Who may not be able to join:

  • Your glaucoma is very advanced, with severe vision field loss beyond a certain measurement level (confirm with trial site)
  • You have other eye conditions besides glaucoma, such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, or moderate to severe cataracts
  • You have serious health conditions such as a history of stroke, Parkinson's disease, brain surgery, brain tumour, nerve damage, diagnosed dementia, or other cognitive impairments
  • You need walking aids or have physical limitations that prevent you from walking independently
  • You have been diagnosed with or have reported balance or inner ear problems, a history of dizziness/vertigo, or severe hearing loss
  • You currently take medications for neurological conditions or psychiatric drugs (such as sleeping pills or sedatives) that may affect movement and balance
  • You are currently doing intensive physical training or balance training programmes
