  • People who have pain or swelling in one knee due to osteoarthritis for at least 6 months

  • People who have had knee surgery in the past 12 months
  • People who have other knee problems causing pain or swelling, such as cartilage damage or a recent meniscus injury
  • People who have or have had cancer
  • People with serious uncontrolled conditions such as rheumatic diseases, diabetes, or thyroid disorders
  • People with an active infection or infectious disease
  • People with a history of alcohol or drug misuse
  • People who are pregnant
  • People who are allergic to local anesthetics used during the procedure
