Who might be able to join this trial:

• People aged between 15 and 30 years
• People who meet a specific set of clinical criteria (called CAARMS criteria) for an "at-risk mental state," meaning they have mild to moderate early warning signs that may or may not develop into a more serious condition — there are two levels: Stage Ia (mild or vague symptoms and mild difficulties with daily functioning) and Stage Ib (moderate symptoms that are not yet at a level requiring intervention, and moderate difficulties with daily functioning)
• People who have recently experienced their first episode of psychotic symptoms, as identified using standard diagnostic guidelines (DSM-5)
• People who meet the standard diagnostic criteria (DSM-5) for a depressive disorder
• People who meet the standard diagnostic criteria (DSM-5) for autism spectrum disorder
• Healthy volunteers from the general public who do not have any of the conditions listed above

Who may not be able to join:

• People who are considered to be at risk of suicide
• People with serious or unstable physical health or neurological conditions
• People who have epilepsy
• People who have had a significant head injury
• People whose assessed IQ is below 70
• Healthy volunteers who have a family history of psychosis
• People who have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder
• People who have been diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder
• People with a substance use disorder — note that cannabis use of up to 5 joints per day may be tolerated (confirm with trial site)
