Who might be able to join this trial:
- Women between the ages of 18 and 45
Who may not be able to join:
- Women younger than 18 or older than 45
- People whose ovulation problems are caused by early menopause, or by issues with the pituitary gland, hypothalamus, or thyroid
- People with conditions that cause higher-than-normal levels of male hormones, such as congenital adrenal hyperplasia, a condition called Stein-Leventhal syndrome (confirm with trial site), high prolactin levels, or adrenal tumours
- People with liver or kidney function test results that are 3 or more times higher than the normal upper limit
- People with Type 1 diabetes, a single-gene form of diabetes, diabetes caused by pancreatic damage, or other secondary forms of diabetes
- People with a history of any cancer
- People with serious infections, severe anaemia, very low white blood cell counts, or other serious long-term illnesses
- People who have had their uterus or ovaries fully removed through surgery
- People with a diagnosed mental illness, dementia, or other conditions significantly affecting thinking or behaviour
- People who have used certain blood sugar-lowering medications in the past 3 months, including thiazolidinediones, metformin, SGLT-2 inhibitors, acarbose, or GLP-1 receptor agonists
- People who have used medications commonly prescribed for PCOS, including letrozole, clomiphene, the oral contraceptive pill, glucocorticoids, gonadotropins, gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonists, or anti-androgen medications such as spironolactone, cyproterone acetate, or flutamide
