Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who have weakness on one side of their body following their first stroke (either a blocked or bleeding blood vessel in the brain)
  • People who are in the early recovery period, between 15 days and 6 months after their stroke
  • People aged between 35 and 75 years old
  • People who are not yet able to walk independently, meaning they cannot walk 3 sets of 10 metres without help from another person

  • People with serious heart or breathing conditions that are currently unstable
  • People who are legally unable to give their own consent or who are under a legal protection order
  • People who are currently detained or deprived of their liberty
  • People who had significant experience using virtual reality in the five years before their stroke
  • People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
