Who might be able to join this trial:

  • Adults aged 18 or older, of any sex
  • People with a documented history of moderate to severe eczema (atopic dermatitis) that has lasted for at least 1 year
  • People whose eczema has not responded well enough to prescription steroid creams or other prescribed topical treatments used consistently
  • People who are willing to apply a simple, fragrance-free moisturising lotion twice a day for at least 7 days before the first study visit
  • People who are able and willing to attend clinic visits and follow the study procedures
  • People who are able to read, understand, and sign a consent form

Who may not be able to join:

  • People whose blood test results show abnormalities in areas such as red blood cell levels, white blood cell levels, platelets, certain liver measures, kidney function, or muscle enzyme levels
  • People who test positive for hepatitis B or hepatitis C
  • People who have another active skin condition that could be confused with eczema
  • People who have previously taken part in another clinical trial using an experimental treatment, or who are currently enrolled in another clinical study
  • People with serious ongoing or past illness affecting the heart, kidneys, nervous system, hormones, metabolism, or lymphatic system, or any other condition that could interfere with safe participation
  • People who have used prescription steroid creams or other prescribed topical eczema treatments within 1 week before the first study visit
  • People with a known history of HIV infection
  • People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
