Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are 18 years of age or older
- People who have a early-stage (superficial) cancer of the food pipe (esophagus), either a type called adenocarcinoma or squamous cell carcinoma, where a specialist team of doctors has recommended a specific removal procedure called ESD (endoscopic submucosal dissection)
- People who have read and signed a consent form agreeing to take part
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have cancer of the food pipe that has come back or was not fully removed from a previous treatment
- People who have ulcerated (open sore-like) lesions in the food pipe
- People with serious heart, kidney, or liver disease
- People who have had an allergic reaction to a substance called hyaluronic acid in the past
- Women who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding
