- People who have painful thumb base joint arthritis (where the thumb meets the wrist) that has not improved after wearing a night splint for 3 months and at least 2 joint injections in a year

- People who are under 18 years of age
- People whose trapezium bone (a small bone at the base of the thumb) measures less than 8 mm in height
- People who are under legal protection, such as a court-appointed guardianship or curatorship
- People who have a known allergy to the materials used in the medical device being studied
- People who have an active infection in the area where the procedure would take place
- People who have skin tissue damage or an open, unhealed wound at the treatment site
- Women who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding
