Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who had an acute blood clot in the lungs (pulmonary embolism) at least 3 months before joining the trial, which was properly treated

Who may not be able to join:
- People who have previously had certain procedures to treat blocked lung arteries (balloon pulmonary angioplasty or pulmonary endarterectomy)
- People who have remaining blood clots that are not suitable for a balloon pulmonary angioplasty procedure
- People who have significant other serious heart or lung conditions that are expected to affect their survival, exercise ability, or breathing — such as significant coronary heart disease, heart failure, high blood pressure in the lungs, severe chronic lung disease (COPD grade 3 or higher), scarring of the lungs, disabling nerve or muscle disease, or active cancer
- People who are unable to complete exercise tests
- People who have an allergy to contrast dye used in medical imaging
- People whose kidneys are not functioning well enough (a kidney function measure below a certain level — confirm with trial site)
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
