Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are a man or woman aged 19 to 65 years old at the time of signing consent
- You have moderate to severe alopecia areata (patchy hair loss), with between 25% and 94% of your scalp affected by hair loss, as measured at your screening visit and first study visit
- Your current episode of hair loss has been going on for at least 6 months but less than 8 years
- Your hair loss has been stable (no significant hair regrowth) in the last 6 months, as confirmed by the study doctor
- You are willing to keep the same hairstyle and hair color throughout the study, including any hair products or salon appointments
Who may not be able to join:
- You have a type of hair loss other than alopecia areata, such as scarring hair loss, traction alopecia (caused by pulling), pattern baldness, or hair loss related to shedding (confirm with trial site)
- You have an active scalp condition such as inflammation, infection, psoriasis, or anything else that could affect how your hair loss is measured
- You have previously taken or used a JAK inhibitor medication (available as a pill or a cream/lotion), or have taken part in a clinical trial involving a JAK inhibitor
