Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged between 18 and 85 years old
- People who have completed at least 5 years of education
- People who are willing to participate and sign a consent form
- People who have a confirmed diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) meeting specific disease criteria — including a disability score of 4.5 or below on a standard MS scale, a relapsing-remitting pattern of the disease, and no relapses or steroid treatment for at least one month — OR people who have a diagnosis of early memory or thinking difficulties (pre-MCI or MCI) that may be related to Alzheimer's Disease, with mild or no functional impact on daily life (confirm with trial site)
- People who score above a set threshold on a standard screening test for cognitive (thinking and memory) difficulties
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have other health conditions that would make it unsafe to take part in a home-based program, such as balance problems, a fall in the past 6 months, or the need for a walking aid
- People with significant hearing or vision problems
- People in the memory/thinking difficulties group who do not have a family member, carer, or trusted person available to support them during the trial
- People who are not currently living in their own home
- People in the MS group who have a score greater than 3 on the part of their MS assessment that measures how well the cerebellum (the part of the brain that controls coordination and balance) is functioning
