Who might be able to join this trial:

• You are between 50 and 80 years old.
• If you are between 50 and 60 years old, you must have at least one of the following: you carry a gene variant called APOE-ε4, you have a close family member (parent or sibling) who developed dementia or serious memory loss before age 75, or tests have already shown signs of Alzheimer's-related protein buildup in your brain.
• You score at or above a certain level on a standard memory and thinking test (confirm with trial site for exact score based on your age).
• You score 12 or above on a telephone-based thinking and memory check called the MoCA.
• You speak and understand Swedish well enough to take part in the study and complete cognitive tests without needing an interpreter.
• You will be placed in one of two groups: one for people who show early signs of Alzheimer's disease based on brain or fluid tests, and one for people who do not show those signs.

Who may not be able to join:

• You have already been diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment or dementia.
• You have had a significant brain injury or another known brain or nervous system condition that has caused lasting thinking or memory problems.
• You have experienced major depression, bipolar disorder, or repeated episodes of psychosis within the past year.
• You have had problems with alcohol or drug misuse or dependence within the past year.
• You have a serious or unstable illness, such as advanced cancer, that would make it hard to take part in the study.
• You are unwilling or unable to complete the required baseline assessments, which include thinking and memory tests, a blood draw, an MRI scan, and a PET scan.
