Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who have weakness on one side of the body following a stroke
• People whose stroke occurred more than 6 months ago
• People who are able to walk on a treadmill for at least 2 minutes, with or without an ankle-foot brace

• People who score above 25 out of 30 on a standard memory and thinking test (Mini-Mental State Examination)
• People who have not used any electrical stimulation device on their leg muscles during walking (such as Bioness or Walkaide) in the past 6 weeks

Who may not be able to join:

• People whose heart rate, blood pressure, or blood oxygen levels fall outside safe ranges at the time of baseline testing (confirm with trial site for specific thresholds)
• People who weigh more than 250 pounds
• People with significant muscle stiffness or spasticity in the affected limb, as measured by a standard clinical scale (Ashworth scale score above 2)
• People who have lost feeling in the affected leg to a degree where they cannot sense light touch or the electrical stimulation used in the study
• People with severe bone density loss (confirm with trial site for specific measurement threshold)
• People with cognitive impairment, indicated by a score below 25 on the Mini-Mental State Examination
