Who might be able to join this trial:
- People of any race, male or female, aged 50 years or older
- People who are able to sign a consent form themselves, or who have a legally authorised representative who can consent on their behalf
- For the Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD) group specifically: people with a clinical diagnosis of mild cognitive impairment or early dementia related to ADRD, or people who have been identified through biological markers as having Alzheimer's disease, whether or not they currently have symptoms
Who may not be able to join:
- People with a known allergy or sensitivity to the study imaging agent [11C]-CS1P1 or its ingredients
- People for whom PET, CT, or MRI scans would be considered unsafe — for example, those with certain electronic medical devices implanted in their body, or those who cannot lie still for extended periods
- People with severe claustrophobia (extreme fear of enclosed spaces)
- People who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- People who are currently receiving radiation therapy
- People with any condition that the trial doctor believes could increase health risks, limit their ability to complete the study procedures, or affect the reliability of the data collected — for example, kidney or liver failure, or advanced cancer (confirm with trial site)
- People who, in the last 6 months, have experienced certain serious heart conditions, including significant irregular heartbeats, certain types of heart block, unstable chest pain (angina), or severe heart failure requiring hospitalisation
- People with moderate to severe anaemia, indicated by a haemoglobin level below 9.9 in both males and females
- People who have taken part in other research studies involving radioactive agents within the past 12 months, where the combined radiation exposure would exceed the limits set by US federal regulations
