  • You have been diagnosed with Crohn's disease.
  • You are between 19 and 79 years old.
  • You are either not taking any medication, or you have been on a stable medication routine throughout the study — this includes mesalazine (at least 6 weeks), steroids (at least 2 weeks), immune-suppressing drugs (at least 12 weeks), biologic treatments (at least 12 weeks), or medical cannabis (at least 2 weeks).

Who may not be able to join:

  • Your Body Mass Index (BMI) is over 30 (considered obese range).
  • You currently have a confirmed infection, such as a gut bacterial infection, a positive stool culture, or a parasitic infection.
  • You are unable to give consent or follow the study requirements.
  • You are pregnant.
  • You have another serious long-term condition such as cancer, have had an organ transplant, or have advanced kidney or liver disease, or another inflammatory condition unrelated to Crohn's disease.
  • You have cysts or abscesses on your liver, kidneys, or pancreas.
  • You have an abscess in your abdomen or an abnormal connection between parts of your intestines.
  • You have had more than one Crohn's-related bowel surgery, or your small intestine is shorter than usual due to surgery (confirm with trial site).
