Who might be able to join this trial:

General asthma group:

• Adults aged 18 to 80 who have been diagnosed with asthma (with or without nasal polyps) of any severity level, based on standard diagnostic guidelines.
• People who are already being followed up as part of the existing MEGA asthma study cohort.
• People who are willing to take part and have signed a consent form.

Severe asthma group (people receiving biologic medicines):

• Adults aged 18 to 80 with asthma (with or without nasal polyps) that is not well controlled, who are already on high-dose inhaled corticosteroids combined with at least one other controller medicine for a minimum of 3 months, and whose asthma meets certain severity measures — including breathing test results, symptom scores, and/or recent hospital visits or courses of steroid tablets.
• People whose treating doctor is considering or has started treatment with one of the following biologic medicines: dupilumab, mepolizumab, benralizumab, reslizumab, or omalizumab — where eligibility for each medicine is assessed according to Spanish Ministry of Health reimbursement criteria (confirm with trial site).
• People already being followed up in the biologic treatment cohort, who are willing to participate and have signed a consent form.

Who may not be able to join:

• People who have also been diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or another lung condition that affects lung function.
• People with other health conditions — such as psychiatric disorders — that could affect how the study results are assessed.
• People who are currently taking part in another clinical trial.
• People who are unable to understand the purpose of the study.
