Who might be able to join this trial:
- You must be 18 years of age or older
- You have had ongoing abdominal pain for at least 3 months, with a pain score of 3 or higher on a scale of 0–10, whether or not you are taking strong pain medicines
- You have been diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis (long-term inflammation of the pancreas) confirmed by a specific internal ultrasound procedure (called EUS), showing at least 5 signs of the condition
- Your abdominal pain has no other identified cause
Who may not be able to join:
- You are under 18 years old
- You have previously had a nerve block procedure near the pancreas using the same type of internal ultrasound (called EUS-CPB)
- You are taking blood-thinning medications that cannot be safely stopped before the procedure
- You have a significant known allergy to the medications bupivacaine or triamcinolone (medicines used in the procedure)
- You are not able to give consent yourself and no suitable legal representative is available to do so on your behalf (confirm with trial site)
- You are currently pregnant
