Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with Takayasu Arteritis (TAK) according to specific established medical criteria
- Your disease is currently in an inactive (not flaring) state
- You are male or female, aged between 18 and 65 years old
- Your condition affects the large blood vessels in the upper part of your body, such as the carotid, subclavian, or vertebral arteries (the vessels near your neck, shoulders, and spine)
- A special type of brain MRI scan has shown that blood flow to your brain is reduced — either throughout the whole brain or in specific areas
- You are willing to take part voluntarily and have signed a consent form
Who may not be able to join:
- You have serious complications affecting vital organs, such as uncontrollable heart failure, severe heart valve disease, severely high blood pressure, severe lack of blood supply to the heart, high blood pressure in the lungs, a recent stroke, or a torn or ruptured blood vessel
- You have other serious health conditions that are not well controlled, such as diabetes, kidney problems, heart or lung insufficiency, a mental health condition, or cancer
- You have moderate to severe narrowing of the main artery in both of your upper arms (confirm with trial site)
