Who might be able to join this trial:
- People diagnosed with a specific type of esophageal cancer (squamous cell, undifferentiated, or adenocarcinoma) at a mid-to-advanced stage (UICC stage II to IVA, up to a certain tumor size called T4a).

- People who have, or have had, another cancer that the treating doctor considers more likely to be life-threatening than the esophageal cancer being studied.
