Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are over 18 years old
- People who have been diagnosed with breast cancer confirmed through a tissue sample (biopsy)
- People with early-stage breast cancer who are being treated with a type of hormone-blocking medication called an aromatase inhibitor (AI) — such as letrozole, anastrozole, or exemestane — whether their menopause happened naturally or was brought on by a specific medication (LHRHa)
- People with advanced breast cancer receiving one of the following treatment combinations: an AI alone as hormone therapy; a CDK4/6 inhibitor (such as palbociclib, dalpiciclib, abemaciclib, or ribociclib) together with an AI as a first treatment option; or a CDK4/6 inhibitor together with a medication called fulvestrant as a second treatment option
- People who need hormone level testing as part of their care
- People who have received standard treatment and have complete medical records, including full treatment response information and follow-up data
Who may not be able to join:
- People with breast cancer who are being treated with a hormone therapy medication called tamoxifen (TAM)
- People with advanced breast cancer who have already used an AI beyond the first line of treatment, meaning an AI was tried and did not work, and then another hormone therapy was also tried and did not work (confirm with trial site)
- People with advanced breast cancer where fulvestrant has been used beyond the second line of treatment, meaning more than one hormone therapy regimen had already been tried and failed before fulvestrant was used (confirm with trial site)
