Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who currently live in British Columbia, Canada
- People who are between 16 and 35 years old (inclusive)
- People who are 9 to 36 months past their first ACL reconstruction surgery, where that surgery happened within 12 months of their first ACL tear
- People who are not currently receiving any knee care from a health or fitness professional, and who have no upcoming surgeries (on any part of the body) that would interfere with exercise during the study
- People whose knee function scores fall below a certain threshold on a standard knee health questionnaire (fewer than 79 points on the KOOS4 scale)
- People who have daily access to an email address and a computer with internet
- People who are willing to wear an activity tracker throughout the study
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are unable to communicate in English
- People who have had a significant injury to the reconstructed knee (one that caused them to miss physical activity, sport, or work on two or more occasions) prior to their original ACL tear
- People who have previously been diagnosed by a doctor with osteoarthritis in the knee that was operated on
- People who have inflammatory arthritis or another condition that affects the whole body
- People who have had an injury, surgery, or injection into a joint in either leg in the past 6 months
- People who are currently pregnant
- People who are unable to have an MRI scan, which may include: people who weigh over 400 lbs; people with a pacemaker or certain other implanted medical devices (such as a defibrillator, artificial heart valve, drug pump, nerve or bone stimulator, certain catheters or filters in blood vessels, ear or eye implants, or a stainless steel IUD); people with a metal clip in the brain; people with any other metal implants, fragments, or foreign objects in the body, including shrapnel or metal that may have entered the eye; or people who have had surgery, a medical procedure, or a tattoo (including tattooed eyeliner) in the last 6 weeks (confirm with trial site)
