Who might be able to join this trial:

For all participants:

• People who are over 18 years old
• People who have fasted (had nothing to eat or drink) for at least 12 hours before the study
• People who have been fully informed about how the study works and have not objected to their data being used
• People who are covered by a social security or health insurance plan
• People who have been informed about the study and have signed a consent form agreeing to take part

For healthy volunteers:

• People who have no history of long-term digestive or gut conditions
• People who do not currently have any short-term digestive or gut illness

For people with Crohn's disease without scarring (fibrosis):

• People who have already been diagnosed with Crohn's disease
• People who, within the last 6 months, have had an MRI scan showing no scarring in the gut, a blood test and stool test for inflammation markers, and completed a questionnaire about their symptoms (called the Harvey-Bradshaw Index)

For people with Crohn's disease with scarring (fibrosis):

• People who have already been diagnosed with Crohn's disease
• People who, within the last 6 months, have had an MRI scan showing gut scarring, a blood test and stool test for inflammation markers, and completed a symptom questionnaire (the Harvey-Bradshaw Index)

For people with functional gastrointestinal disorders:

• People who have already been diagnosed with a functional gastrointestinal disorder
• People who have had their condition assessed using a standard set of diagnostic guidelines called the Rome IV criteria

Who may not be able to join:

• People who have a pacemaker
• People who have a condition that reduces or removes their ability to feel pain on the skin
• People who have a mental or physical condition that causes uncontrolled movements
• People who are allergic to any component of the device being used in the study
• People who are allergic to soy, dairy, peanuts, wheat, or nuts
• People who have previously had surgery on their digestive system or gut
• People who have a skin wound or skin redness on their abdomen (stomach area)
• People who have an active infection that could be passed on to others (bacterial, fungal, or viral)
• People who are currently menstruating (on their period)
• People who have urinary incontinence (difficulty controlling their bladder)
• People under 18 years of age
• People who are subject to a legal protection order (confirm with trial site)
• People who are unable to give their own informed consent
