Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been confirmed by laboratory testing to have prostate adenocarcinoma (a specific type of prostate cancer) at the time of their surgery
- People whose cancer was found to be at certain stages (T2 through T3b, with specific lymph node and spread classifications) based on their surgical pathology report

Who may not be able to join:
- People who have previously had radiation treatment to the pelvic area
- People who have previously received hormone therapy (androgen deprivation therapy) for prostate cancer and have a PSA of 0.1 ng/mL or higher
- People with currently active rectal diverticulitis, Crohn's disease affecting the rectum, or active ulcerative colitis
- People who have previously had chemotherapy for prostate cancer
- People with a history of a narrowing of the upper part of the urethra that required a procedure to widen it
- People with a significant medical, addiction-related, or psychiatric condition that, in the doctor's opinion, would prevent them from completing treatment or follow-up (note: consent through a legal representative is not permitted for this trial)
- People who have had a heart attack or severe heart failure within the last 6 months
- People who are currently on an organ transplant waiting list
- People whose cancer has spread to more than 5 sites in the body
