Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are at least 18 years old (both men and women can apply)
- You have been diagnosed with a type of spinal arthritis called axial spondyloarthritis, based on recognised medical guidelines
- You have signs of inflammation in your body, shown either by an MRI scan or a blood test result (C-reactive protein)
- You have a back pain score of 4 or more out of 10 at the start of the trial

- You have other inflammatory diseases that are not well-controlled

- You currently have an active Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, or HIV infection, confirmed by a screening test
- You have a history of cancer
- You have a known or suspected history of a weakened immune system
- You are known to be allergic or sensitive to a medicine called mometasone furoate nasal spray, or to the placebo used in this trial
